James Pirrie – Family Law Commentator of the Year 2023

We are thrilled to announce that FLiP Director James Pirrie has been named Family Law Commentator of the Year 2023 in the prestigious LexisNexis Family Law Awards 2023. The Family Law Awards recognise the important work of family lawyers and celebrate their many successes and outstanding achievements.

The Family Law Commentator award is an award for the commentator who the family law community consider to have provided the most useful commentary to help them in their practice, or to promote the practice of family law.

Throughout his career James has shared his wealth of experience and technical expertise generously and expansively and throughout the year 2022-2023 he led on a variety of publications, lectures and webinars, articles, blogs, videos and reference tools. In 2023, James introduced both FLiP’s Family Law Guide and CMS Calculator tool both of which have hugely assisted both individuals and family practitioners. He also launched FLiP Together and FLiP Settle.

James strives to drive change and best practice for the benefit of the family law community and those using the family justice system. The commentary he provides along with the resources and reference tools he is responsible for producing is truly groundbreaking. We are extremely proud and grateful that the family law community has recognised his contribution with this accolade.
