David Allison: Shortlisted Family Lawyer of the Year, Spear’s Awards 2023

Congratulations to FLiP Director David Allison who has been shortlisted for the award Family Lawyer of the Year in the prestigious Spear’s Awards 2023.

The Spear’s Awards are designed to recognize and celebrate the exemplary achievements of private client advisers, wealth managers, lawyers, and service providers catering to HNW and UHNW individuals. We send our congratulations to all the shortlisted candidates.

The focus of David’s practice is on supporting HNW and UHNW clients on financial claims on divorce, particularly those with an international element. He is also well known for his expertise in the legal issues affecting cohabitants, same sex couples and civil partners. David’s clients include business owners, entrepreneurs, bankers, other lawyers and their partners.

During the last year David has led the team advising on the landmark case of Xanthopoulos v Rakshina, a long running English/Russian case that has resulted in numerous reported decisions that will have a lasting impact on English family law and practice. In his work on the case, David employed his settlement focused skills, shaped by years of experience as a senior mediator and collaborative lawyer, to achieve the very best outcome for his client in one of the most high-profile family law cases of the year.
