In May 2019, Family Law in Partnership Senior Associate Mariko Wilson and professional support lawyer, Carla Ditz wrote about how pensions are treated on divorce in their blog Can I Have A Share Of My Spouse’s Pension On Divorce?

In the blog, we referred to the Pensions Advisory Group (PAG), a group which had been convened for the purpose of producing a best practice guide (for judges, legal and financial practitioners as well of course as those going through a divorce themselves) to address the issues relating to pensions on divorce. The PAG is an interdisciplinary group of judges, actuaries, academics, pension advisers, family lawyers, pension lawyers and other experts including Dominic Raeside, our head of mediation at Family Law in Partnership.

The Guide has now been published and can be found here.
