“Divorce Tourism” featured today in the Financial Times and The Mail Online

A very interesting article featured in both The Financial Times and The Mail Online today regarding “divorce tourism“.

The case of an estranged Scottish aristocrat’s wife who has taken her husband to court, will today be heard in the UK Supreme Court for it to determine whether her maintenance claims should be heard in England or Scotland. The UK Government has been granted permission to intervene in the case.

The outcome of the case is likely to have ramifications for future cross-border divorce cases concerning couples who require the involvement of the court to settle the issues surrounding their divorce.
